In deciding which model suits you best, measure
your vehicle's overall length, from bumper to bumper. Add 2' to that and round up to the next size
trailer. For example, if your car is 13' long, you need a 16' deck, NOT a 14' deck because you need the room
to maneuver on the trailer. This also ensures that the vehicle will be balanced on the
trailer.
The choice is yours, as is the responsibility
for the decision.
If you have a smart AND another car you
may wish to haul, size the trailer for the larger vehicle and be sure to add item STXL-XTD, Extra Tiedown Rings for
the STXL, to your order.

The trailer itself is made of steel, but with aluminum enhancements. Included components are:
 Dual diamond plate aluminum wheel
decks with all-round 2-inch steel outer safety guide plates.
Dual diamond plate aluminum locking ramps.
3500 pound capacity camber axle and suspension.
(Models STXL have tandem 3500 lb. camber axles).
Length by model:
- ST42 - 10' deck + 4' tongue = 14'
overall - ONLY for the smart fortwo (all models) - approx 600 lbs.
- STXL12 - 12' deck + 4' tongue = 16' overall - for vehicles with
overall length under 10' - approx 800 lbs.
- STXL14 - 14' deck + 4' tongue = 18' overall -
for vehicles with overall length under 12' - approx 900 lbs.
- STXL16 - 16' deck + 4' tongue = 20' overall -
for vehicles with overall length under 14' - approx 1000 lbs.
- STXL18 - 18' deck + 4' tongue = 22' overall -
for vehicles with overall length under 16' - approx 1100 lbs.
2-wheel electric brakes (requires on-vehicle brake
controller from your RV dealer).
Breakaway switch for activation of electric brakes and brake
lights.
Loading ramps are stowed inside the trailer and pull out
easily. (They can be removed for maintenance). Simply remove the lockpin and, standing a couple of feet behind
the trailer, pull the ramps out. This keeps the load you have to lift to just a few pounds.
Industry standard 7-way electrical connector.
The front jack and safety chains are at the front of the
tongue.
Front wheel tie down baskets (2).

Accent Package -
ST42 $100 (STXL $130)
The Accent Package is both an eye catcher and quite practical.
The Hill's, owners of Smart Sales, LLC, recently completed a 7,200 mile trip with
their own Smart Trailer USA. The only damage to the trailer was due to rocks thrown out by adjacent
traffic that dinged the paint on the front of the fenders, the driver's side getting the most, of
course. Their was no damage to their smart fortwo due to the rock guards inside the trailer's
fenders and mud flaps on the motorhome, plus the spare on the tongue.
The Accent Package above is now available to protect against such damage using
added sections of diamond plate aluminum. The front of the fenders are protected by the
plate.

Receiver for Hitch Bike Racks -

Take your bike(s) with you!
Just add this 1-1/4 or 2 inch ball receiver to the back end of your Smart Trailer USA.
After loading your smart, just plug in the rack and tie down your bike. At the campground,
just reverse the process and off you go! NOTE: We don't sell the bike racks, so bring your
own.

Kayak - Canoe -
Surfboard Rack - $475
Add a removeable canoe, kayak or surf board carrier to your Smart Trailer USA. Easy to
load, easy to unload. Does not interfere with getting into or out of your smart fortwo.
The rack is mounted on the 4 corners of the trailer and each mounting point has a safety pin.
IMPORTANT NOTE for the ST42 only: To prevent a long canoe or surfboard from hitting the
tow vehicle when turning, the standard 4 foot long trailer tongue will be extended to 5 feet.

Dual Motorcycle 5"
Ramp and Channel Runners - $300
Your bikes can go along when you leave the car at home.
(NOTE: ONLY load TWO bikes at all times. Otherwise, the trailer
will be dangerously out of balance on the road.)

Dual Motorcycle 5" Channel Runners for model STXL (Total weight 4,500 lbs, or less)
A single 5" Aluminum Channel Ramp is provided for use on either ramp location

Single Motorcycle 5" Ramp and Channel Runner - $200
For a single motorcycle only. Center deck is added and one ramp may be detached and moved
to the center.
Maximum weight is 2,000 lbs for model ST42, and 3,500 lbs for all other models.
